“Villa Pliniana”
Publication history (Works [1903])—“Villa Pliniana” was omitted from the version of the “Account” in Poems (1891), and first published in the Library Edition (Ruskin, Works, 2:376).

“Though now those names be claimed by clay” (MS VIII; Works [1903])—In the Library Edition, this line os altered to “Though now their names be drowned by clay” (Ruskin, Works, 2:376). It is unclear whether the editors misread or attempted to improve the line, but their transcription is certainly inaccurate.
